Most people shopping for health insurance want to see prices before they talk to anybody. That makes sense, so we built a tool for it. It lives at coloradohealthinsurance.com, Grove runs it, and it costs nothing to use.
You enter your ZIP code, each person's date of birth and your expected household income. You don't give us a name, an email or a phone number. The tool then shows every plan sold in your county, with your price after help.
What it works out for you
From those few answers, the tool figures out:
- Your price for each plan, from each insurance company's approved 2027 rates for your county and each person's age when coverage starts.
- Your federal premium tax credit, the help that lowers your monthly premium, taken off every plan's price.
- Colorado Premium Assistance, the state's extra help on top of the federal credit for households that qualify.
- Lower deductibles on silver plans, which some households with lower incomes can get. The tool shows the version you may qualify for.
- A flag when someone may belong somewhere else: Health First Colorado (Medicaid) or CHP+ for some children and adults, and Medicare for anyone 65 or older.
You can sort and filter the plans, put three side by side, check which plans cover your prescriptions, and see which include the hospitals you use.
What it leaves to you, or to us
Every number in the tool is an estimate. Connect for Health Colorado decides who qualifies for help when you apply, and the tool doesn't enroll you in anything.
It also doesn't ask about a job-based coverage offer, COBRA, or who claims whom on a tax return, and any of those can change your tax credit. It checks hospitals, not individual doctors.
Those are the cases to call us about instead. Call if your income is hard to predict, if someone in your home has coverage through work or Medicare, if anyone in the household doesn't have a qualifying immigration status, or if someone is pregnant.
What it costs, and what we keep
Nothing. If you later enroll with Grove as your broker, the insurance company pays us, and your premium is the same either way.
Your answers are used to work out prices and are not saved. We only learn who you are if you ask one of our advisors to check a plan you picked.
